So as I mentioned I’ve been bing watching Steve Universe, and now that I’ve watched it all twice I’ve been thinking about Lion. I know that there are a lot of theories that Lion is Rose, but I don’t think it’s that simple. Yes Lion has the same colors as Rose and Rose’s sword is inside Lion like every other gems weapon is inside them, but Steven has Rose’s gem so Lion can’t just BE Rose.
I’ve noticed that Steven always makes it a point to say that he’s HALF gem. If Rose became Steven and Steven is only half gem then something would have to happen with Rose’s other half right? All the Gems weapons come from inside them. Rose had a sword and shield as her weapon. Stephen only has Rose’s shield inside of him
Half gem, half the weapon. The other half of her weapon is inside lion.
And remember in Maximum Capacity when they were cleaning out Greg’s storage unit and Stephen found a cat carrier?
What if Rose put her other half into a cat? I mean, Lion acts like an outdoor cat.
It would explain why even Pearl didn’t know about Lion, why there was a cat carrier inside Greg’s storage locker, why Lion has Rose’s colors(but no gem) and why Lion has all the stuff Rose left for Steven like that video.
wait so is the theory that before rose put half her gem into lion, lion was just an ordinary cat, but the gem transformed it? and that’s why pearl didn’t know about “roses lion” because until rose died she never had a “lion” she had a cat? (or greg had an ordinary cat that they shared)
