you can like a character who is an awful human being and there is nothing wrong with that

problems arise when you act as if that character who happens to be a piece of shit human being is capable of doing no wrong and clearly innocent despite several instances proving otherwise in canon which very obviously point to this character being a piece of shit in the first place and you opt to blatantly ignore it
