When Alejandro said in the promo, “Burros muertos no hablan" to Mal, I’m guessing that Mal discovers that Alejandro knows that he isn’t Mike, and when Al had the intention to warn others, Mal confers with him, then threatens if he were to spill the beans, hence in the promo Alejandro says "Dead donkeys don’t talk." - as in to keep a secret.
