Chris: It was right before Total Drama Island started airing, and I was looking around for a couple of unlucky souls to test out all the challenges I had planned, when I see Chef. Like I said in Action, he was selling street meat before I hired him. Real sorry looking. I thought, “This is the perfect sucker.” So, I asked him if he wanted an internship on the show.
Chef: There really wasn’t any way I could say no. I was in a real bad spot, being homeless and selling roadkill for a living, if you could call it that. Figuring this would be an easy way to earn some money, I took him up on this offer.
Chris: It was still about a month before the first episode, and Chef and I really hit it off. Eventually I figured I liked him enough to let him be my co-host, and here we are today.
Chef: I gotta say, I really owe Chris one for picking me up like that. Helped get my life together, even if he was an ass back then.
Chris: Watch it, fry cook.
