That’s exactly how racism works, White folk telling PoC they should be grateful that we are represented at all, knowing damn well the images produced are negative and oppressive.
They know that having a music video with Black women having their asses slapped and dancing with little clothes on is wrong. They don’t give a shit because it makes them look good and keeps us looking bad.
