i hate how people say atheists can’t celebrate easter or christmas because we don’t believe in god -_-
excuse me but just because i don’t god doesn’t mean I still can’t celebrate it
it has no religious value to me but hey

Bluntly speaking, I just don’t understand how an atheist could celebrate Easter. Christmas, I understand, since it’s become such a commercialized event that it can be celebrated without acknowledging its true purpose.
Though is literally celebrating the most core point of Christianity– Christ’s resurrection.
I just find it exceedingly disrespectful that people who are not Christian would use such an important holiday to get in on getting candy/Easter Bunny stuff and be able to turn around and talk about how they don’t believe Jesus was Christ.
