So this is the email I sent to FreshTV:

Dear FreshTV,

My name is Jack and I’ve been a huge fan of the show since it first aired. However, I just watched the finale of All Stars, and I’m sure you’re aware of the uproar among fans, but I have something very specific to bring to your attention. The way Mike’s MPD/DID was portrayed throughout the season was deplorable at best; mental illness does NOT come with a reset button. There is no quick fix. It’s dangerous to portray it that way, as it adds to the stigma that people need to just “get over” their mental disorders. It is especially harmful that this message is being projected to children and preteens, many of whom may suffer from such disorders.  I myself suffer from anxiety and OCD. It’s a crippling condition that is nothing to take lightly. The resolution to Mike’s MPD was an echo of what I and many others hear on a daily basis; that if we just try hard enough, we can overcome our disorders and illnesses. It’s about as useful as telling someone with a broken leg to walk it off. I hope you understand why this was incredibly offensive to many people. Mike was once my favorite character because I could relate to his struggles, but myself and many other fans of the show are left with a bitter taste in our mouth after this awful portrayal of mental illness. I ask that you give a public apology to the fans, and recognize the severity of the portrayal of Mike’s MPD/DID. With Hope, Jack
