I understand that is offensive but Its a cartoon. It sends a bad message Yes. But I don’t think the writers thought of it as offensive...
Them not meaning for it to be offensive doesn’t make it any less disgusting.
It being a “simple plot device” does NOT excuse how deplorable it was.
This episode literally echoed what people tell me DAILY. That if I just try hard enough I can get over my mental disorders. They’re putting this impression on kids and preteens, some of which may suffer from mental disorders.
