Mike can remain your favorite character but you need to understand everyone’s JUSTIFIED rage. The issue is you CANNOT CURE MPD. GIVING IT A CURE AT ALL IS TERRIBLE because then people assume you can just ‘fix it’—when no, you cannot. The fact TD decided to put in a person with a mental illness is great—putting in one for laughs that they have little to no idea what the actual implications and problems of their condition is is not great. The fandom is doing NOTHING wrong in being absolutely disgusted with the portrayal of a character that could have been used to show 5 million viewers the difficulties and struggles of mental illness, and instead showed 5 million viewers that you can fix them if you ‘try hard enough’. (WHICH YOU FUCKING CAN’T)
