Jack paced around the dock, thinking to himself. He was feeling rather paranoid, wondering if Claire was spying on him. It was at this point that he truly became aware of how his every move was being recorded by cameras. That alone was unnerving, but now he knew that Claire tended to watch him and…
Claire: you dropped something. *looks at* you want me to get it for you?
As he was looking over the edge, Claire’s voice startled him. “H-huh?!” he stammered, and in his surprise, he stumbled, falling off of the edge of the dock and plunging into the cold water. He gasped, though all that did for him was release much of the air he had. He sunk below the surface, flailing his limbs but with no success. Claire didn’t know he couldn’t swim, so for all she knew he was going to come back up moment later with the necklace, but after almost a minute, he didn’t resurface.
Jack felt like his bones were made of concrete as the icy water chilled him to the core. <<Oh God, is this how I die?!>> he thought panicking. He began to run out of air, and his limbs slowly stopped moving as he lost feeling in them.
