Jack picked the splinters out of his hands as he walked away from the confessional, looking a bit confused. “How on earth…? Why did I decide to break a piece of driftwood in half!” he muttered to himself. He wasn’t sure what had come over him, but shrugged it off. He walked towards the cabin.
Dylan looked up from his video game and waved, sarcastically teasing, “‘Sup, Jackie Legs?”
Jack winced slightly at the remark, hating being called anything other than Jack. Recognizing it was merely in jest, he waved with a splinter-less hand. “Not much; really relieved that we’re safe for another few days!” he said, smiling. He was still quite proud that he’d helped the team win to atone for his poor performance in Simon Says. When Jack saw the video game, his interest was piqued.
“What are you playing?” he asked.
