“Hello everyone and welcome to the first episode of Total Drama Tumblr: Second Glances! I’m your host, Phoebe Carillo, and we have a great show lined up for you today. First up, we’re going to interview one of the more recently eliminated campers, Eddie!” as she introduced him, it was his cue to enter the stage. Phoebe looked to him, pushing up her glasses to they rested on the bridge of her nose.
“Welcome, welcome!” she greeted Eddie, waiting for him to take a seat. “We’re happy to have you here today,” she began, glancing at her notepad, “So tell me, was your elimination a surprise to you?”
Eddie walks up on the stage and is surprised by everything around him. From the roaring music to the cheering fans and the blinding spotlights he appears as though he may panic. But luckily me manages through with a small smile and makes his way towards Phoebe and shakes her hand.
"Hehe thank you for having me here Phoebe. It’s really nice of you!" He lets go and takes his seat. "And to answer your question, yes, I actually was surprised that I was eliminated so early. I never imagined I would have so many votes. I thought I’d make it to at least the merge or something but sadly that didn’t turn out as expected."
"Yes, I’m certain many of the fans were also quite surprised! Especially the Levvie shippers." she said, and somewhere in the audience Sierra was sobbing over the separation of Levvie.
"Speaking of Lev, how did that come about happening? Are you official?" she asked with a grin, and the studio audience hushed, interested to know.
"As a matter of fact, we are." He paused as the studio audience roared in cheer and applause. he couldn’t help but grin in embarrassment over their excitement.
"We got together after Luck’s elimination ceremony on the Truth or Dare challenge. It was nighttime and I confessed my feelings for Lev and offered a rose heart ring as a sign of our relationship. I think that part aired on the episode right?"
Phoebe nodded. “Indeed it did! Aren’t you quite the little Romeo?” she commented, and the crowd continued to cheer. “The fans were quite interested to see Lev come into a relationship so quickly.”
"Did Fitz ever give you a hard time off camera?" she asked, seemingly unrelated.
"Aww hehe I’m not that romantic", Eddie replied as his face began to blush and became cherry red in color. "And yeah I’m actually surprised myself that we hooked up so quickly. I mean there have been other couples on the show like Mike and Zoey that hooked up quicker but I didn’t think ours would be so fast."
"As for Fitz, while we didn’t interact so much, I could tell he really didn’t like me. Like when we were in the mansion during the storm I could see that he was giving me some mean looks while I was with Lev. Or even in the other days when we were all just hanging out I could see him sneering at me like he wanted to punch me or something. I really don’t know why though he didn’t like me. Maybe he’s just like that with everyone?"
Phoebe grinned. “Oh, so you definitely could sense the animosity?” she echoed. “Why don’t we take a look at some of Fitz’s thoughts on you and Lev.” she said, and pointed to a screen where the following confessional played.
Fitz scowls. “I don’t like Eddie. ‘Oh, we have to find Lev! Oh, I can’t live without my girlfriend!’ It’s fucking pathetic. He hasn’t even known the girl for like, a few weeks. That. Is why I hate the show. Couples never get dropped on the contestants this early. The whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing’s just bound to slow my team down. I ain’t goin’ for mates just yet. I don’t even know if’ll find one.”
The crowd murmured as the tape played for them; they had all already seen it on the show, but it was new for Eddie. “So, do you know anything of Lev and Fitz’s prior relationship?” she asked curiously.
Eddie was shocked by Fitz’s confessional but it was nothing compared to his expression when he heard that last sentence. “Wait what?! You mean Lev and Fitz were together before she hooked up with me?! Woah. That definitley explains why Fitz acted that way towards me.”
"But in a way, I kinda agree with him about how we as a couple hooked up so fast. I mean, what did you guys think when we hooked up?"
Phoebe was entertained by his reaction to the confessional footage. She loved her job! “For me to answer that, I’d like to call up our web and research team lead, Sierra!” as she called out the name of the superfan, the purple-hair woman came bounding up to the stage, laptop in hand. “Well, when you two first hooked up, my analytics showed some reluctance, especially form the Levitz shippers! Tons of people were hoping for them to get back together and for drama to ensue from their past together.” she explained. “Though when you gave Lev the ring, Levvie ratings skyrocketed! My Levvie fanblog gained 2,000 followers that night!” Sierra explained proudly.
“Thank you, Sierra.” Phoebe said, and Sierra quieted herself. “So with all that being revealed, are you at all worried about Fitz and Lev rekindling their romance now that you’re gone?” Phoebe asked. Half of the crowd booed at such a suggestion, while some cheered violently.
