“Hello everyone and welcome to Total Drama Tumblr: Second Glances. Today we’re going to interview the most recently eliminated contestant, Middy! She was sassy to the max with a target on her back, come on out Middy!” Phoebe called out, and it was Middy’s cue to enter the stage. Once she had taken a seat, Phoebe began asking the questions.

“So tell me, you seemed to be pretty aware that you would be going home. Did you honestly think you would get kicked off, or were you just saying that in hopes that someone else would be going home?” she asked curiously.

“I think it was obvious. When you have two players from a supposed ‘Invincible Team’ gunning for you, you’re screwed.” She began. “No, I hoped I would get voted out. It wasn’t a good set up for me from the start and frankly, there are people of the show much more deserving than I am for the money. Though no one has actually gotten their money since season one.” Middy looked around at the audience nervously, then back to Phoebe.

Phoebe’s eyebrowed raised. “Oh, you hoped to be eliminated? How interesting…” she mused. “If you realized from early enough on that you shouldn’t be the won to win the million, what was your original motivation for coming onto the show anyways?”

“Well I hate popularity, I knew I wouldn’t get the money, and socializing is horrible. I came for the drama I could create, stir up the competition, get some ratings. In short, I was bored.” She yawned before continuing. “I thought that maybe, while I wouldn’t be an antagonist, I could be someone that makes it pretty far. But since some people like making private confessionals public, that didn’t happen.”

Phoebe nodded, and the mention of the confessional provided an excellent segue. “Of all people to go after you, did you expect Jack to be that person? You two actually never spoke during the entire competition!” she asked. “Speaking of, let’s take a look at the confessional!” she added, and footage played on one of the screens beside them.

The tape rolled, and it showed Jack on his knees in the confessional, fiddling with the camera. The camera cut to static, and when the image returned, Jack stood there with his bangs covering one eye. “I’m not one to start anything… but if Middy plans on getting ANY of my friends voted out, I’ll have no choice but to get rid of her first…” he murmured, taking a deep breath before heading out of the confessional.

Upon seeing this footage, the crowd let out a low “oooooooo” as they waited to see how Middy would react.

“Now being the fair person I am, I had no knowledge of this.” Middy glared at the screen. “The Loose Lips deserve what’s coming to them. Something is going to happen and they will lose many of their members.” She explained. “Jack seemed like an odd guy. Am I shocked? No, not really. Competition does strange things to a person. But all I’m saying is that yeah, people cheat, but on stupid things like this, a mere mention of someone trying to actually play the game, is ridiculous. And how did they film him fiddling with the camera with the same camera?”

“Oh, the confessionals are reinforced with multiple cameras, in case one malfunctions. Can’t miss a single moment of drama!” she remarked cheerfully.

The crowd was on the edge of their seats as Middy foresaw a comeuppance to their team. Phoebe grinned, sensing some animosity. “If you’re chosen to return to the competition, will you be going right back after Jack, assuming he’s still in the game?” she asked.

“Number one, no one will vote me back in. FET is coming back and I swear I will make sure of that.” She looked directly at the audience. “FET didn’t deserve to go home. The votes were tampered with, that was clear to everyone.”

“Now if by some miracle you guys decide I have the right to come back, I will aim for someone I see as a threat. If it’s Jack, then sure, why not. But like I said on the show, I wanted Rosie out. She would do everything and anything.” Middy smirked. “My fellow contestants will see that eventually.”

The crowd gasps. “Oh, but FET is still on the island; she seems less than interested in coming back into the game itself.” Phoebe noted. “That being said, why are you under the implication the votes were tampered with? Wasn’t it simply an online fan vote?” she asked curiously. The crowd seemed split on the subject of FET. A hot button topic had been approached. “What do you think she is up to, anyways? Considering it’s common knowledge that she is roaming the island.”

“Oh please, twenty eight votes in five minutes? FET was a well liked person. No one gets votes that fast, I know, I had to work my -bleep- off just to get Ethan 32 votes in thirty minutes.” She rolled her eyes. “Ethan deserved it to, choosing me because he thought I would be a detriment to the team. Hah.”

"Now in the case of FET…I heard she came to the island with a mission. Forget what it was, but knowing her, she will stop at nothing until her mission is done.” Middy fixed her shirt, finding something to occupy herself with.

The air of mystery loomed over everyone in regards to FET. “My, my.” she noted at her comment about getting Ethan voted off. “All that FET business aside, who are you hoping will win the competition? I can be safe in assuming it’s not one of the Loose Lips!” she added with a laugh.

“Oddly enough, either of the people that caused my team to lose last episode. I’m rooting for Kaitlyn or Evan. Kaitlyn broke our alliance because she panicked. And anyone that can take advantage of that panic is good in my book. ” Middy gave a thumbs up before returning her gaze to Phoebe.

“Oh? Rooting for someone on the opposite team!” she was enthralled to hear her choice. “You’d still want Evan to win even though if it weren’t for him, you could still be in the competition?” she prodded, raising an eyebrow.

“Basically. He knew I was going home. I admire that.” She shrugs, “It was obvious that I was going home fairly soon. Evan just sped up the process.”

“Now if I may ask you, Miss Phoebe, did you honestly believe that i would have a chance in this show?” Middy inquired.

Phoebe considered her question, intrigued that the interviewer would be asked something. “Well, our analytics team showed that you were a popular contestant when first starting off; I thought you showed promise. I and many others expected you to make it further, had your progress not have been halted by the Loose Lips.” she remarked. “You should have seen the fanbase blow up; some were chanting your funeral oration while others prayed that you would live to see another challenge! Many contestants this season have mixed reviews among the fanbase, but I don’t think I’ve seen any contestant bring in more extreme reactions except for FET!” Phoeve raved. “Coming on to the show, did you think you would be a popular character among the fans?”

“Eh, i figured mixed feelings. Every character has their fanbase. Now Miss Phoebe, i don’t like to be lied to. I had 4% of the vote on the favorite character poll.” A small glare. “I know it’s your job to make the show interesting, but I would prefer if you did not lie.”

“Tsk, tsk. Who said I was going based on that poll alone? Besides, that was created after a couple of episodes.” she reminded her. “I’m talking about initial ratings. Sierra, if you will.” Sierra nodded, pulling up a chart on one of her blogs. “I did several polls and Q&As after the first episode, and based on appearances and first impressions, you were in the top 5!” Sierra boasted her organized data presentation. Some people in the audience cheered.

“That being said, do you think people back home were rooting for you? Not much about your background was revealed on the show. Mind elaborating a bit?” Phoebe asked.

“Not much to talk about. I got a dad and a little bro back home. I’m not popular in school. I’m seen as a nerd or a bookworm. I’m too sarcastic for my own good and romance is something I could live without. Is that what you wanted to hear?” She stated simply.

Phoebe laughed. “Honey, I just want to hear the truth, and if that’s it, then we’re golden.” she said. “Do you think that you could end up making some new friends for life from this show? Did you really connect with anyone?” she asked.

“I’d love to be friends with Kaitlyn. And FET if anyone can get a hold of her. It’ll be tough with the age difference but hey, I’ll live.” Middy said.

“How interesting, since FET and Kaitlyn seem like the least similar people on the planet!” she remarked. “Are they similar to friends you’ve had in the past?”
