Ranty Time: Hardcore Edition

–Disclaimer– This ain’t aimed at anyone, yo. I’m mentioning things that I’ve seen across many OCs. You don’t have to agree with me; I don’t expect you to, but I gotta get this off my chest because it’s tickin’ me off. It’s my blog so I’m not apologizing for anything I’m about to say. Don’t ask me if this is about your character because I’ll feel guilty because I’m not trying to personally call anyone. So don’t do it. I won’t responsd. –Disclaimer Over–

I can’t stand Total Drama OCs with supernatural powers. TOTAL DRAMA IS NOT A FANTASY SERIES.  For fuck’s sake, it reeks of special snowflake syndrome. The cool thing about Total Drama is that they make hella interesting and skilled characters that are STILL HUMAN. They are mere mortals but play to the extremes of real stereotypes and whatnot. Yes, Total Drama bends the bounds of reality in terms of violence because it’s a cartoon, but literally the only supernatural thing ever was a CAMEO of Slenderman. EMPHASIS ON CAMEO.

You aren’t possessed, you aren’t the devil’s son, and if you are you’re making a character for the wrong damn show.

Also here’s part two because while I need to just let this all out: people who put characters related to their OC but take them WAY OUT OF CHARACTER. All these OCs involved with Mal have left a nasty-ass taste in my mouth because they warp Mal into this non-canon character that acts absolutely NOTHING like the actual Mal. Just make a different OC that’s everything you want Mal to be, because what you want him to be ISN’T FUCKING MAL.

And one other thing; OCs who date Mike’s alters but not Mike. NO. THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS. THAT’S OFFENSIVE AS SHIT. Honestly, would you go up to someone with a crippling disorder and be like “Yo I’m in love with one of your alternate personalities that aren’t even you in the slightest oh but I don’t have a crush on you so yeah I’m dating your personality that you try to suppress.” Like honestly, nobody would say that to someone. SO WHY DO PEOPLE IGNORE THIS FACTOR.
