Rosie rubbed her head and tried to focus on what she had just run into. Squinting her eyes, she saw that is was only Jack. “Oh, sorry about zhat Jack…” She noticed his strange look and she put her hands on her hips. “What is zhe matter wizh you? You look like you just saw a gho-” She stopped mid sentence as she felt the rough fabric of a towel against her hands. Her eyes bulged and her face turned the shade of a tomato.
Jack scrambled to his feet, quickly looking away. “I… er… I’m really sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going and I just.” Jack walked forward, closing his eyes. He just wanted to get past her and run. He felt as though he could die of embarrassment. However, in his attempt to walk by with his eyes closed, he tripped, falling on top of her. Falling for the second time in the past minute, he yelped slightly as he fell towards the ground.
Rosie’s back slammed into the ground as Jack toppled onto her. She shrieked in surprise and gripped the towel tighter around her before she hit the ground. Squeezing her eyes shut, she bit down on her tongue and whimpered with humiliation. “J-Jack?…” She didn’t really know how to react. It seemed like an accident…right? Her body tensing up, she prayed that the towel would stay on long enough for him to get up off of her so that she could breathe again.
Jack’s eyes shot wide open, and he looked to see his face was mere inches from Rosie’s. He froze for a moment, paralyzed in fear, but when the initial shock wore off, he realized he was straddling Rosie on the ground. Ready to die of humiliation, he jumped up to his feet. “H-hoyl shit, I’m so sorry! I… ah… f-forgive me!” he shouted, apologizing profusely as he held out his hand to help her up. “I just.. I didn’t mean to… ah…” he stammered. «Oh God.. what is she thinks I did that on purpose?!?!» he worried silently.
Rosie was shaking from head to toe, her eyes were still shut as she was still too embarrassed to look at him. Her cheeks were true to her name and a bright rosey red. Reaching out her hand, it shook and trembled as Jack attempted to help her up. Speaking through a shuddering voice, she tried to play it off while attempting her flirty escape route; like usual. “Oh…zhat’s ok…its not like I mind if you saw me-” her words stopped, the world stopped, even her heart momentarily stopped beating. Rosie opened her chocolate brown eyes just a slit, to see the towel lying on the floor. A moment of silence, pure horrifying silence. Then it cracked. She threw her arms over her bare chest and screamed so loudly that the windows rattled in their panes. She sprinted into the bathroom and slammed the door, locking it shut behind her. It all happened so fast, Jack was just left staring at a closed door.
