Do you believe that people should give a reason for their triggers? I feel as if people throw the word around without a given reason.

Triggers are deeply personal things. Most people don’t feel like expounding their life stories to people they’ve just met. If someone says they’re triggered by something, respect that and show some human kindness. Don’t expect people to prove that they’re really triggered, or doubt someone when they say they’re triggered by something less typical.
