holy shit dude. I follow your rp's and stuff and I saw your mega long post in your Pepperjack thread and how do you post stuff like that? I mean it's so long and poetic and geez man!

Wow, first of all, thank you! ;u;

Second, uh, here, I’ll try to compile a little list of tips I use?? Or just a list of random things that help me.

–This is from my personal background, but I was a moderator on an RPG where there was a 100 word minimum to each post. This helped me to learn how to add detail, as well as make thorough posts. Sometimes it was a game to see how detailed I could get a post so I could see how long I could get it, and for a while I was posting 2,000 words in a single response. XD So that helped me learn to type long responses.

–The music I listen to when I post also helps a lot. For that monologue post between Pepper and Jack, I was listening to “Misguided Ghosts” by Paramore. It fit the mood really well and helped me right. For some reason, the right music makes me write way better!

–I listen to spoken word, so I borrow phrases or styles of speaking from poets sometimes, like Shane Koyzcan. I borrowed his manner of speaking for parts of it, or at least I tried to. If you haven’t heard of him, he did a phenomenal piece called “To This Day” that you need to listen to now. XD

–Speak from experience. If you’re speaking from your life, it helps you to write more deeply. If you can’t perfectly relate, then at least pull that emotion from you. If your character is monologueing about being an orphan but you weren’t an orphan or something, think back to a time you when you were so lonely or however you want them to be feeling, and dwell on that emotion. Write from that place.

Does this make any sense I doubt it it’s late but here. XD This is basically what I do.
