Really? given his temper and past, I think it’s more in character for him to beat up Rodney. Yeah, he’s grown as a person, but not all that much in terms of temper. He still is a bruiser, and it would seem strikingly OOC for him to stop abruptly and just.. forgive him, you know? ._. I see him fighting it out then feeling remorse later about it. *shrugs* ain’t my character, but it’d be a shame to see another person act OOC to try and save their ass from making enemies.
