Can we take a moment to talk about how ELLEN FUCKING DEGENERES, probably the most well-known out gay comedian of all fucking time, cracked a transmisogynistic joke and misgendered someone ON THE FUCKING OSCARS?

This is not cool. This is not right. This is the face of bullying and bigotry. Liza looked amazingly upset by this and (AFAIK) she’s not even trans.

Seriously, Ellen, what the fuck. 

I love her, but loving someone doesn’t mean ignoring their bullshit, nor does it mean ignoring the social pressure that they (especially lesbian comedians) face to maintain cis/white/male supremacy in order to be accepted by mainstream society. Ellen did a great job hosting the Oscars, but this joke was totally fucked up and not okay at all.
