I pretty much decided what I’m going to specialize in when I get in medical school.
Family medicine. It’s a general practice that lets me help a large variety of people out and I already have like five people I could go to and be like, “Hey wanna work...
Dude, radical! I hope that goes well for you. >u<
I’ll be a senior this upcoming year, but I’m doing an early start application this fall so I should know what college I’m going to by December of this year.
I plan to go to the University of Washington, but my backup school is Whitworth University since they are both strong science schools with phenomenal pre-medical and pre-pharmaceutical tracks, and then I can also major in Biochemistry on the track.
Money is going to be tricky, though. I’m going to rely heavily on scholarships. I figure I can get one through robotics, through being Mexican, and through my grades, maybe. I plan to finish my junior year with a 3.7…. so I’m hoping that’s enough, plus I’m projected to test well on SAT and ACT.
TL;DR: I really want to be a pharmacist and can’t wait until college. ;u; I really want to help provide medications for those who need it as well as work in a research lab to find new, affordable ways to treat currently expensive diagnoses.
