I went to numerous therapists because they would tell my parents “She’s anxious and having trouble sleeping because she’s stressed about school, so you need to let her have breathing space.” and they kept getting me new therapists because they read that as “She’s lazy and doesn’t do her homework because she’s up all night watching TV shows then panics about it in the morning. She needs more pressure put on her.” They could have saved a fortune in bills if they’d listened…
