Jack’s eyes opened slowly. He was lying in bed, and it was pitch black in the room. He rolled onto his side and saw the alarm clock faintly glowing 3:45 a.m.
Another dream.
It had been two and a half months since him and Monica had split, and yet he still thought of her from time to time. It was a bitter feeling, living alone. He yawned slightly, not having time for such wishful fantasies. He had to be at work in just a few short hours, and needed whatever semblance of sleep he could muster before then.
