PERSONA DANCING ALL OVER MY SOUL
"I generally just tumble around."

I'm actually hving trouble coming out myself, any advice?

Let’s see…

1. Only come out if it’s safe to do so. If you know your family will kick you out or worse, it’s not wise. Your safety is top priority.

2. Start with close friends. They’re usually the most supportive. If they’re not… step 3.

3. Reach out and find other queer friends. There’s bound to be an LGBT youth group in your neck of the woods.

4. Give people time to digest this information. You didn’t realize your identity overnight. Demand respect but be patient, especially if you need people to call you by a different name or pronouns than they’re used to.

5. Make sure you have at least one support close in your life. Coming oit and having everyone challenge your identity is not a task to undertake all alone.

6. Know you are still valuable and loved. You are not broken. You are brave and you are important. ♡
