I worked in skin/haircare and aromatherapy for almost 6 years! :> So I know a lot. Aromatherapy is really awesome. Awhile ago I made these things and shared them, maybe I should make more…
For anxiety my go to is usually ylang ylang oil, not only because it’s my favorite floral smell but because it actually helps to calm an overexcited heart.
Some other calming ones you can try are
- lavender: so crisp, fresh and herbal! I aalllways have to have lavender products because it really is so good for stress
- rose: such a lovely one
- bergamot: another personal favorite because it actually helps you cheer up if you’re feeling down! It’s a very happy smell)
- orange: VERY uplifting!
- lemon: uplifting as well and helps you wake up and focus
- clary sage: good for hormonal balance too
- sandalwood: HNGHHH, this is actually one of the sexiest smells to me but it’s also a good sedative. xD
- chamomile: super calming (also drinking teas will help)
For migraines, these may help you:
- peppermint: my #1 for nausea, and it also helps you focus!
- lemongrass: this is good for so many things but I absolutely love it for clearing my head
- sandalwood and clary sage again are both good for migraines too
- eucalyptus: helps to clear the sinuses which can help relieve pressure. I use this one a LOOOOT.
- chamomile again!
I’ve actually heard that like, green apple scent is good for migraines but I’ve yet to try it for that reason. Green apple soaps are usually really freaking amazing (I recommend looking on Etsy for some nice whipped soaps! Green apple is a popular scent.).
Hope that helps. Just have a sniff and see which smells you like, maybe make a little massage oil blend at home like I do, or if you go to get massages you can ask to add on a scent of your choice. :> Also good to stock up on candles and incense.
Thank you! I just realized my ask says anxiety/migraines/anxiety but I meant anxiety/migraines/narcolepsy lol.
Either way this is so helpful!!! Thank you. C:
