the trick to intrusive thoughts is not to try to resist em but like…..let them happen and dont fixate on them…treat them like an annoying friend who’s yelling random shit from the backseat like “hey you could stab yourself in the leg with those scissors” thanks timothy i could also not do that

this is so helpful, imma start calling all my intrusive thoughts timothy from now on

it’s called radical acceptance and it is super liberating

^ It really is.

!!! The nudes are fake !!! This is happening to women in Rooster Teeth as well !!! There's a blog doing them and then uploading them to Reddit !!! I repeat: They're fake. However, you can report the Tumblr blog. It's 'firewinthings' and everyone is reporting it for abuse and a violation of privacy.

*whispers* More transguy representation please.

More transguys who don’t pass for cis, and who maybe don’t want to pass as cis.

More transguys who are proud of being effeminate and are still men.

More transguys that aren’t buff muscleheads or gamers, who don’t always enjoy stereotypically “male” things.

More transguys who like to wear dresses.

More transguys who don’t get hysterectomies/oophorectomies, and are proud to be men who can still bear children.

More transguys who don’t have full penises, because fuck, phalloplasties are expensive, and a very invasive medical procedure, and did you know you have to implant pumps in order to get an erection? Those things can potentially be a cause for infection, and require more invasive, expensive surgery a decade down the road to replace them because they start degrading. Plus there’s a risk that you won’t end up nerves growing into it, and there are just so many things that can still go wrong, even with our advancements in technology.

More transguys who aren’t on hormones, for various reasons. Either because they can’t take testosterone for medical reasons, or financial reasons, or because they just don’t want to.

More gay, bi, pan, asexual transguys, because men aren’t all sex-crazed machines, be they cis or trans.

More transguys getting their periods. More transguys being okay with that, and more transguys who are completely devastated by it, because it’s a personal reaction and each person can feel however they want about the reminder of what their body is doing and have their own reactions to the monthly fluctuations in hormones, no matter if their periods are painful or not.

More feminist transguys, because ladies have to put up with a lot of shit, and they know from firsthand experience, and damnit, we need to stop this.

More transguys with high voices and babyfaces.

More short transguys, and tansguys with small feet, who have a hard time finding clothes/shoes in their sizes, because no one makes them that small.

Basically, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any transguy in media, and therefore we have no role models to look up to. Or else we have to find our own. And even then, it’s so hard, and many that get media attention aren’t the ones that always look like we want to. Bodybuilders and stereotypically “hot” actors and porn stars are all good, but they aren’t variety. We need more transguys in media and the news, because it’s so hard to think anything positive about yourself when you’re stuck in the clutches of dysphoria and you can’t even find anyone to look up to who’s either going through your same problems, or has gotten past those problems and is proof that you can get where you want to be.

Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

In case any of my followers don’t have this kind of support from home…

my mom did this and if you need an honourary mother i promise she would be happy to talk to you

I just wanna stop and take the time to thank thewritegrump for teaching me what spoons were.

Soon after I was taught one of my closest friends started severely going through health problems and went by the spoon system. She is now successfully diagnosed with stage 3 Lyme disease (after about 6 years of doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with her) and is fighting it the best she can. Knowing about spoons helps me to understand what she can and can’t do and if she needs me to do things for her when we are together.

Oh, wow, I’m really, REALLY glad that I helped! ;;;u;;;

That’s what spoons are for- it’s helped me explain chronic illness to people who otherwise couldn’t quite grasp it- especially “inivisble” illnesses.

I’m so glad that knowing about spoons has helped you better assist your friend! You’re absolutely wonderful, and it’s such a relief to know there’s people like you who are here and are for people like me and your friend.
