CLICK HERE to support Help Me Live with Narcolepsy -- Service Dog Fund
So, I did it. I made an indiegogo fundraiser.
I’m putting my transition on hold. I’d like to legally change my name this fall, still, but my immediate physical health needs to take priority. So that’s the focus of this post and this fundraiser.
I know I’ve really been quite the beggar lately, though bear with me for a bit longer. This is extremely important to me, and I’d appreciate if you’d give this a read and a signal boost.
If you follow this blog, you probably know by now that I have narcolepsy. I won’t go into major detail to explain it here and now, but I suggest a quick google search if you’re not familiar with the disorder.
Narcolepsy has no cure, and all that can be done is to try and manage the symptoms as best as I can. However, it’s still highly stressful and negatively impactful of my daily life.
I recently found out that service dogs for narcoleptics exist and are becoming more well-known as a treatment option and way for narcoleptic people to live more fulfilling and productive lives. It sounds like a dream come true on all accounts- but it comes with quite the price tag.
Whether it’s $1 or $100, I would be so grateful if you would even consider donating. This sounds cheesy as all get out, but having a support like this would literally change my life.
I also made a quick video to further explain what’s up!
