What is Birchbox?

It’s a monthly subscription service that sends you a collection of deluxe samples of 5-6 products. They’re often from really expensive brands, giving you a good mix of amazing products! It decides what to give you depending on a profile you fill out, plus the items come in a really cool re-usable box each time. I’ve kept all my boxes and use them for general storage, honestly.

The deluxe samples you receive often highly exceed the $10 you spend on the box ((though it’d $5 for your first box)), and I still have samples I got a while back because some of them last ages ((I got a hair serum that only requires two drops per use, so I’ve had it for almost a year, using it once or twice a week. That’s just a deluxe sample- the full size costs like… $35 or some other amount I can’t afford.

And another thing: You can cancel at ANY time. If you just want the first box for $5 and to help me out, you can do that, then cancel your subscription before it bills you for the next month. Easy as that!

Also I got the Women’s Birchbox in the mail today, and I’m definitely going to stay subscribed. O3O

I got: A perfume sample, a dark chocolate caramel, a pore-cleanser sample, a lip stain sample, a mascara sample, and a shaving cream sample.

Overall, it was all pretty bomb. =u= No use for the shaving cream, of course, but I digged the different samples and I’ll probably use them since I wear makeup at work.

The fragrance is a little feminine for my tastes, but it smells really good tbh.

I’ve become a huge fan of birchbox, both the men’s and women’s boxes this month were winners and I’m staying subscribed to see what else I get!

Just took a nice shower to test out some of my other products that I got in my Birchbox. =u= I used to cleansing body bar and it was really nice, plus I got another use out of a facial scrub sample I got from Lush when I bought their bath bombs. ;u;

I’ve made a new hobby out of trying different bath/body products lately. Since I’ve been spending less money on food as I’ve been recovering from my ED, I’ve had more to spend on little things I normally wouldn’t try, like bath bombs or aromatherapeutic face scrubs.

It’s really nice, actually. I used to be skeptical of frou-frou brands and beauty products, but it’s fun to try different stuff and the different scents are relaxing and/or stimulating and it’s just a really fun thing to do instead of spending money on food that I would binge with and being stressed instead.

TLDR; I’m enjoying all these body products. =u=

So I got my first Birchbox in the mail today and it’s hella awesome. =u=

I got a cologne sample, a travel-size face wash, a full-size cleansing bar, a tie-clip, and a travel-size body cream. All-together, everything was worth like $60 ((the tie clip was worth $45 alone so even with the rest being samples I got my money’s worth)) and I paid $20 for the box. =u=

I just tried the face wash and it smells really clean and my face is super soft and smooth now; might buy the full size!

The cologne is a bit strong for my tastes so I’ll probably see if my dad wants it; currently I’m sticking with “Haiku” by Avon since it’s a really gender-neutral sort of scent and it’s not overbearing or anything.

Still need to try the cleansing bar.

Lotion is really great, wish the travel size was just a bit larger cause I really like it…..

And the tie-clip is a cool navy blue/cobalt blue sort of color and it’s rad.

Overall, it was really cool and I’ll probably continue using Birchbox.

I’m just waiting on the “women’s” Birchbox to see what that brings for me.
