Then there’s THIS HOMO, Blue Goldstone. Goldstone isn’t actually a gem, but rather it’s glass infused with copper. Thus, he’s at about the same social level as a Pearl. Goldstones are made to be entertainers, and he’s perfectly content with that.

It’s Blue Goldstone!
He’s not a gem- Blue Goldstone is actually a glass infused with copper. It’s my AU/headcanon that glasses are to gems as androids are to us, though glasses are organic, not robotic. They are built for specific, menial purposes. Some are like grease monkeys, and Blue Goldstone is an entertainer. Unlike Pearls, they’re not accessories themselves, but like jesters and lackeys, seen as much lesser than gems. In fact, glasses don’t have weapons- they have accessories. This is to demean and oppress the glasses, and mitigate the chance of a rebellion. Blue Goldstone personally has a microphone! He mostly sings and performs magic tricks.

So I’m working on an alternate gemsona, Blue Goldstone. It’s technically not a gem, but rather a glass infused with copper. My idea is that gems have non-gem servants/products; they’re like what androids are to us, but actually sentient and organic. Different kinds of glass tend to have different purposes, and Blue Goldstone is an entertainer. I still haven’t designed him, but I will soooooon.
