So this is a coping bank (not my idea, found it on the internet and made one for myself). It’s a great way to prepare yourself for when you just can’t handle life. It’s inexpensive and easy to make, and a great suggestions for those in recovery of an ED or mental illness, or just need something for when they’re sad. c:
How to Make:
-Take any container with a lid and cut a hole in the lid, big enough to slip a folded piece of paper or notecard into.
-Decorate the container any way you want! Put your favorite colors on it, write encouraging words around it, or do whatever. It’s YOUR coping bank.
-Fill it up with things you can do instead of destructive habits. I’ll list all the things I put in my coping bank below. It can be anything that will keep you from hurting yourself or dwelling on the moment.
-When you’re overwhelmed or on the edge, draw something from the bank and do it. You can draw as many times as you like, of course!
