PERSONA DANCING ALL OVER MY SOUL
"I generally just tumble around."

The only “not all men” I ever wanna hear is “not all men have penises”.

If you, as a man, feel threatened when women start to talk about feminism, you are completely part of the problem.

Treat our sisters with respect and listen when they’re talking.

Hey if you are a blog of any of the following varieties, like and/or reblog this so I can check our your bloggity! I need more peeps to follow.

-social justice in general
-LGBT stuff that focuses on lesser acknowledged groups like asexual polysexual transgender non-binary demisexual etc
-Latinx pride
-mental health blogs and recovery blogs
-feminism

Masculinity benefits nobody. It’s a shit concept that causes severe anxiety in cis men as they try to uphold it, allows others to invalidate trans men’s identities by claiming they don’t fit the bill of masculinity, forces a sense of a binary onto nonbinary people, and has been used to oppress and hurt all women since forever.

Masculinity benefits nobody.

I’ve come to notice that the only times men play games with female protagonists is when it’s easy to disguise or forget you’re playing as a girl. Take Portal, for example. Rarely do you see Chell, the woman you’re playing as. Many people who don’t pay as much attention don’t even realize she’s a girl for a while. Same goes for Metroid, especially the early games. If it can be forgotten or easily pushed aside that the protagonist is a girl, then men find it acceptable to play those games.

So of course then besides the lucky few, most games with a girl lead are aimed at only girls and poorly produced in order to suck up money by making it a girls game for younger girls rather than a legitimately fun and well made game. So that perpetuates that games that seem girly or feminine or have a female lead that isn’t made masculine or neutral are bad and poorly made, because most are.

Long story short, not only is much of the female representation in games abysmal (but that’s a whole different can of worms), but the non offensive representation they do have is masculinized so “boys can it play it too”, and all other representation that isn’t completely objectifying or masculinized is in poorly made cash sponges.

Feminists just need to take a chill pill.

I am literally grossed out by these people right now.

Send help.

Feminism that excludes trans* women is a feminism I want no part of.

this, important information,

Nope, I’m pretty sure all of these are lies.

And I consider myself anti-feminist but still believe in gender equality.

I don’t know what you think a feminist is, but if you think it’s a bad thing, you aren’t looking at real feminism. XD

All of these are true as true can be; even if you don’t identify as feminist, those believe in gender equality believe in feminist ideals. :)

Okay then Miss Feminista, can you give me a few cases in which feminism has fought to help men advance men’s rights?

First of all, it’s Mr, not Miss. I’m a guy.

Second of all, this blog is a far more adequate means of explaining: http://feminismhelpsmen.tumblr.com/

And Lastly, I don’t think you’ve notice that we live in a world where men have all the rights from the get-go? Literally if you are born with a penis you make more money than minorities and women. We live in a society catered to men and their needs, especially cis white men. We live in a patriarchy. Not to say that men don’t face issues (the struggle of such strict gender roles that the patriarchy imposes, the way the patriarchy and society brush off male victims of sexual assault and how that is disgusting, etc), but why is it that your main point against feminism is “oh but think of the men”? That seems kind of strange. XD

Okay, well if feminism is all for helping men then why is it that when a group of men’s rights activists at the university of Toronto decided to have a meeting help figure out what they could do to help men get rid of the sexist gender roles a large group of feminists gathered and tried to picket the meeting? Why were they calling the men’s rights activists “scum” and “pigs” and accusing them of rape? Wouldn’t reason dictate that a group fighting for gender equality would not become upset and distraught with men seeking equality?

Try watching this video

Or better yet, this one

Here’s one where the feminists pull the fire alarm in order to force the mra out of the building

And another

So how can you sit there and tell me that feminism is working towards gender equality when they do this to a group of men working towards gender equality?

A group of feminists =/= all feminists

I don’t know if this conversation is going anywhere? I don’t think you’re really interested in finding the benefits and progress of the feminist movement, but rather you want to try and convince me that feminism is bad? XD That’s kind of silly, imo, becuase feminism is radically important.

Not all people who call themselves feminists are truly feminists. Feminism isn’t about making women superior to men; we all just want gender equality, even beyond the gender binary (sadly many “feminists” exclude trans*women, which si ridiculous). Yes, feminsts want to smash the patriarchy, but not to establish a matriarchy, but rather a system of equality where rape culture isn’t shrugged off, where the color of your skin or gender doesn’t automatically add or subtract to how much money you will make, and where women aren’t valued based on their looks rather than skills.

Also, I find it kind of silly when people argue against feminism with “but look at how bad men have it!” or try to change the conversation to men. It reminds of when people are talking about the struggles and inequality of POC, and someone comes in with “but think of the white people!”

Anywho; there are other tumblr users and a nifty little device called google that are far better at providing you inforation than myself. ouo

My Bible Teacher: I believe women and men should be equal in many ways, but I also think that people focus too much on rights, making it an idol.

Mrs. K, I love you dearly. You’re the bomb.com, but no. ono

Reconciling my worldly beliefs with what the Bible tells me is difficult, especially when I have to take into account the context in which certain verses are set. It’s worth it, but it’s a lot of thinking to be doing.
