I decided to start painting again, and am starting with a fusion dance sort of picture of Charoite and Emerald- I got the base colors down, maybe later this afternoon I’ll start defining the shapes, re-lining, and shading? Who knows. This is about 3.5 hours of work so far. That beautiful enby fusion taking up most of the canvas is Watermelon Tourmaline, btw.

I have no idea if this is what you had in mind, but after hearing about Aquamarine I couldn’t not draw her? Again, sorry if this is not at all what you had in mind, oops!

The three fusion combinations of the NB Gems: Citrine, Charoite, and Emerald!

Cuprite: Citrine and Charoite. The most responsible of the fusions, they have two arms and three eyes, as their components both tend to take action, but do have differing opinions and interests in some aspects. Their weapon is a pair of modified swords, with Charoite’s scythe blades and the blades of the swords.

Watermelon Tourmaline: Charoite and Emerald. The shortest and most spontaneous of the fusions. Also the most stable, having two arms and four eyes- however, two of the eyes are hidden on the back of the head not because they see things differently, but because they are always looking out for one another. Their weapon is a double-ended scythe.

Prasiolite: Citrine and Emerald. The tallest and most level-headed of the fusions. They have four arms and three eyes, as their components see most things eye to eye, but one prefers not to take action while the other does not internalize the problem as much. Their weapon is split between each set of arms- the first set is a pair of blades that attach to the sleeves of the outer arms, and the inner arms can wield the staff of Emerald’s scythe in a more defensive manner.

Anorthoclase- Sunstone, Moonstone, and Anorthite form a bond of mutual respect and understanding.

Vague size comparison of Bloodstone, Snowflake Obsidian, and Orthoclase. Roughly speaking, Bloodstone is about Sugilite sized, Snowflake Obsidian is about Opal sized, and Orthoclase is a bit shorter than Garnet, if not Garnet sized. Orthoclase is so freaking short they’re adorable.

White Prehnite- his weapon is his wrench, which he uses to rapidly manufacture robonoids. The robonoids can attach onto his body to form armor, or attach to his hands to make blasters. He doesn’t really like to fight, though. When he came to Earth to investigate for the Diamond Authority, he discovered Sharpies and proceeded to draw cute faces on all his robonoids. That was a good day for him.

Emerald and Charoite make the cutest, gayest, least gendered space rock- Watermelon Tourmaline.

Sunstone is a natural pacifist, whereas Moonstone is always willing to fight for what she feels the need to defend- in most cases, Moonstone will draw her sword, getting Sunstone involved in battles he doesn’t necessarily want to be fighting in. Furthermore, he doesn’t even feel equipped to fight, since his weapon is a shield. Ultimately, he finds himself wrapped up in the battle and trying to provide coverage for Moonstone while she wrecks shop. In deadly situations, they’ll form Orthoclase so there’s only one body to keep track of.

Here’s Orthoclase, the Adelinta fusion. They are very much aware of each other, so they retain a single set of limbs- however, they both see the world very differently, which is why there are three eyes. The left is predominantly Adelia, the right is predominantly Jinta, and the middle eye converges and often allows them to see the world from the other’s perspective if they choose to acknowledge it.

If Jinta is particularly unwilling to fight, they can potentially have two sets of arms to show this, but Adelia will not typically fuse with Jinta without his permission, unless there is an imminent threat he isn’t acknowledging.

Both of their weapons as individual gems are scythes, so I’ll draw a cool double scythe something or other later.

They still only have two arms and two legs when fused because they are so emotionally close to one another that they become a single being.

However, one of each of their eyes is actually hidden on the back of their head, since the two of them are always looking out for one another and want to see threats from all sides.

Updated design for my Gemsona, Charoite! They use a scythe– and I just now realized I drew their gem on the wrong hand SHIT. Welllll, their gem is on their left hand- it’s supposed to be. Perhaps whenever they regenerate it might switch hands because they’re lazy.
