All these quotes are from the wonderful @grumpsaesthetics blog. They were too short or non-contextual snippets for me to submit to @incorrectp5 but I just had to make these.

Except… Akechi is a fundamentally different character than Jun or Chidori. His actions, beliefs, goals, and backstory are entirely different. So??? Just because someone thinks one character should have a redemption arc doesn’t mean every antagonist/villain/whatever should have one??? And this is from someone who would not mind an Akechi redemption arc. Like, really, I think it’d be cool and neat if executed well, I guess. At the same time, though, I can also see why people don’t want one, and it’s totally irrelevant from if they supported a Jun or Chidori redemption arc.
It’s like saying “How come you like Junpei and Yosuke but not Morgana???” as if they are at all similar. It makes little sense and the three characters as well as their situations are not directly analogous.
