I’m so mad that I stop myself from wearing makeup because a majority of society automatically assumes makeup = female. I love to do peoples’ makeup because I’m artsy and it’s so fun to play with colors but I don’t have anyone’s makeup to do and I’m scared of being more misgendered than I already am. A round of applause and encouragement for the nb and non-female identifying trans people who wear makeup despite people not understanding. A round of applause to the amab trans and nb people who wear makeup even if they get nasty looks for it. You guys are so brave in my eyes and I honestly wish I had your confidence. Rock on, you rock stars.

So I love doing people’s makeup and wearing makeup (it’s like 3D painting!) but I feel like I can’t since I came out because it will confuse people and lead them to invalidate my actual gender identity.
