Nicki Minaj is such an inspiration; she supports her fans 100%. She strives to support and encourage the people who look up to her- she tells her fans to stay in school, to be ourselves, to be strong. However, she will not be gentle with those who disrespect her. She is gentle and loving to her fans, but if a racist disrespects her and her culture, she will fight back. She sets the example to love and encourage, but stand up for yourself. It’s not mean or “bitchy” to defend yourself, and to call out people are being rude or worse to you. I’m so glad Nicki called out Miley- a lot of PoC can’t safely do something like that. But she did, and she is such an amazing person.
