Highlights/Lowlights From Session 2 of Moemon Emerald Nuzlocke

-Naming my Flaaffy Flesh instead of Peach because Alex reminded me that the last two Pokemon I named after fruit died.

-Graves decimating Norman’s team with Blaziken until the last Slaking was a few HP shy of being OHKO’d. Blaziken died and Xatu followed shortly after.

-Having Silver the Metang locked in battle with Wattson’s Magneton b/c of Magnet Pull. Silver died. FUCK.

-Alex forgot to save their game at the end of the session and will have to catch up next time… they still haven’t beaten the first gym.

-I’m still the only one who hasn’t had to reset and everyone knows my time is coming and I know too but WHEN!?!?

-Graves duking it out against a Breloom, but not without losing a few more Pokemon and eventually having to restart her file.

-After Silver died, I needed a Pokemon to use Rock Smash. None of my Pokemon could use it, so I caught a temporary Azumarill named “ANGST V-V” and promptly released it to hell once I caught a Flaaffy that could learn it. I also later caught a Marill of my own, and it evolved in Cerulean the Azumarill.

-Alex having the patience of a saint in raising their Pokemon while Graves loses her shit and is slowly descending into the madness.

-Alex having to be afk while Graves took on Norman, when they returned: “What’d I miss?” “YOU MISSED SOME SHIT.”

-Coming up with new lyrics to SU songs about our Nuzlocke adventure. I recorded the theme song, and the things these dorks are coming up with in the group chat is nothing short of comedic gold.

Some highlights from today’s Moemon Random Emerald Nuzlocke playtime.

• -Graves having to reset their Nuzlocke twice, yet still finishing the game ahead of me, Ix, and Alex for the night.
  
• -Me constantly complaining about level-grinding my Beldum for an hour and a half.
  
• -Alex training for about three hours only to have their whole team die and reset the Nuzlocke.
  
• -Ix mourning the loss of dear Wheatley.
  
• -Alex’s Swinub, Gelum, doing vigorous sit-ups to please it’s trainer, then dying five minutes later.
  
• -Grave running into Latios about ten times while training, but unable to catch them because they already caught a Pokemon for that route/dungeon.
  
• -Ix getting hung up on from our Skype call for playing too much meme music.
  
• -Me deciding that all Geodudes are Satan incarnate.
  
• -Graves also ran into a Regirock, a Ho-Oh and probably some other miscellaneous legendaries.
  
• -Me finding several reviving items that I could only sell bitterly.
  
• -Graves finding a master ball on the ground.
  
• -Me finding a safari ball on the ground and figuring out I COULD CATCH SOMETHING WITH IT OUT OF THE SAFARI ZONE. I caught a Spinarak with it.
  

Honestly pretty much everything from the last eight hours was pure gold- this is the most fun I’ve had in a long time.

• -Graves being God tier in general.
  
• -The Pokemon trainer classes were randomized and on my file I battled GOD MAY.
  
• -Seriously Graves is a literal sorcerer at this how is this even possible what is their secret?
  
• -Poor Alex having terrible luck with wild encounters.
  
• -Ix attempting to take on Roxanne with a single level 7 Pokemon.
  
• -Literally everything that transpired.

If you answered yes to any of those questions you should totally do a nuzlocke competition with me of a randomized Moemon Emerald. //shot

I don’t have enough irl friends that play Pokemon or would want to try it, and I thought a group of three or four would be really fun. ;u;” we could use screen share to see everyone else’s games I think. We would just need to find times we’d all be online- we’d probably have to agree on times in advance, I figure. The Moemon and randomizer stuff is super easy to download and I can walk people through set-up. Basically- come be my friend. I need at least two other people, but not too man because finding a time for like six people to all be online is a nightmare.

I’m done for the night- level grinding is so hard b/c Azurill doesn’t learn any attack moves until level ten. o-o I want both FRIDAY and CARAMELL at level 16 before I take on the gym just to be safe. FRIDAY is level 16 right now, and CARAMELL is level 9. 

Tomorrow I’m gonna kick Brock’s ass. He’s on my shit list now.
