It genuinely irritates me when I see the older generation chastising millennials and making fun of them for the Pokemon Go craze. Yes, it’s just a game. However, it’s a game that’s enabling mentally ill folk, encouraging people to explore the world, and sparking a sense of adventure in a world where the standard is a constant barrage of violence and hardship. You don’t have to like Pokemon or understand it- that’s not what I’m saying. I’m simply saying that I think it’s a bit petty for people to scoff at Pokemon Go players simply because it’s a motivator they’re not familiar with.
