PERSONA DANCING ALL OVER MY SOUL
"I generally just tumble around."

When you worship, God doesn’t care that you don’t hit every note perfectly or that every sentence of your prayer is structured correctly. He cares that your worship is genuine and that it comes from the depths of your soul. Worship God in the beauty of His holiness. He’s not looking for accuracy. He’s looking for authenticity.

Needed this.

I appreciate the sentiment behind the “Why Did God Create Atheists” posts, but at the same time idk because it’s like… God didn’t “create” atheists. He made people, and with that He gave us the choice of whether to follow Him- whether we’re atheist or not is on us, because if we were all created as Christian it would be meaningless to follow Him since forced love/obedience isn’t love/obedience. I don’t think this makes much sense because I just woke up, but oh well.

Don’t know how many peeps like me are out there, but I’m a Christian trans dude, and y'all know as well as me that being religious and trans can be super freaking complicated.

That being said, I’d like to share a song with you that I really resonate with as someone with a deviant sexuality/gender. I know I interpret it outside the original context, but taking the lyrics at face value and having my interpretation really gives me solace when I’m fretting about being both Christian and trans.

The song is “Welcome Home (You)” by Brian Littrell. It’s basically about how even when the rest of the world is against you, God knows you and is always super enthusiastic to see you when you come to Him.

Some choice lyrics that make my day every day (particularly nice for male identifying queer peeps since the song does say “son”):

“When I left home to be who I am
Some people said "No Way”
But I laid it all down, gave everything
In my head rang the words that my Father said

“You’re never far
I will be where you are
and when you come to me
I will open my arms

Welcome Home, you
I know you by name
How do you do?
I shine because of you today
So come and sit down
Tell me how you are
I know son, it’s good just to see your face.”“

No but actually stop making jokes about Jesus doing weed or jokes of that sort. It’s really disrespectful, and childish at best. Easter is a very serious and joyous occasion for my religion, and whether you believe the same religion as me, a different one, or none at all, please be respectful of that.
