So since our motley crew of crystal gems has rounded out to Charoite, Opalite, Lavendulan, and Citrine, I took the liberty of adjusting our theme song. It’s to the tune of the Steven Universe Extended Theme. Maybe I’ll record it later?

I have a lot of headcanons specifically about mental illness and illness in general because I demand representation and I’ll make representation since it doesn’t happen. I figured I’ll list a few off the top of my head, and these are the just the disabled, neuroatypical, and neurodivergent headcanons.*

*I really don’t know enough about conditions on the autism spectrum, so I say “autism” but I mean something along that spectrum.

I also wanted to add a comment in support of this important commentary: Homeworld gems don’t think fusion is gross- they think fusion between two DIFFERENT gems is gross. We recently discovered that fusion between two gems of the same type is more commonly accepted ((albeit for combat purposes)). That furthers the analogy, and anyone saying otherwise is really discrediting the passion and effort the Crewniverse is putting so much work into, which is downright disrespectful.

EDIT: Looking at their blog, they seem to whitewash a lot of the characters from the show and though many people have told them that this is not okay and have explained in detail why it’s not, they see wrong with their shitty ass recolors. They also have no problems resorting to racist stereotypes in the rare occasion they recolor they already diverse cast as other races. There is a very racist recolor of Steven as a stereotypical black caricature and another highly offensive recolor of Jamie the Mailman as a Muslim. They have also VERY transphobic art on their page as and tell people to “toughen up” when confronted with their actions.

Please avoid this piece of shit blog and it’s piece of shit blogger.

I honestly cannot fathom how someone can be so hateful and disrespectful. That blog has absolutely no tact, and should be blocked and reported by everyone in the SU fandom. Don’t stand for racism. Don’t reblog anything from them- if anything, repost it with a warning. Don’t give them the notes.

These characters are such under-represented races; Connie, Garnet, the Pizza family…. kids of color don’t often see positive representation of their race. To take something so important and erase it is absolutely disgusting. White people have enough representations of all kinds. If you feel the need to take away characters from POC, you’re honestly a horrifically disgusting creature.

SU fandom, I implore you. Do not stand for this. Don’t tolerate it.

I need to see more human Peridot with a hijab. Also, since Peridot lost her leg I’m 100% in favor of an AU with asexual, Muslim, disabled human Peridot.
