1. I don’t really dislike it, but I don’t like it. I hate to respond so negatively to all these, but I’m kind of picky when it comes to TD ships! XD

2. I just don’t think they’re compatible. Scott like’s Courtney’s type— assertive and extroverted. Dawn is the opposite. She’s gentle, introverted, and intuitive. Scott would just find her freaky and creepy and want nothing to do with her talking to animals business. Dawn would see the cruelty in his heart and sympathize with his rough past, but also not want to be romantically involved. That’s how I see it, anyways.

2. I just don’t think Zoey is the right girl for Mike. I personally don’t care for Zoey to begin with, but I feel like I’d like her character more if she wasn’t shipped with Mike.

In TDROTI I actually shipped them. She was doubting because she didn’t know about Mike’s condition, but right around when she finds out to now, I started hating Zoke. Her initial reaction to his MPD, “That just means there’s more Mike to love!” THAT IS EXACTLY NOT HOW MPD WORKS.

And then from then on she spends the rest of forever doubting Mike and waffling around with trusting their relationship. A year passes between TDROTI and TDAS, so we’re supposed to assume they stayed together and at least kept in contact in a long-distance relationship. Yet from the get-go, Zoey acts like it’s been two days since she found out about Mike’s condition, and is constantly doubting him. When he starts acting weird, she doesn’t piece two and two together “Well he has MPD so maybe it’s a different personality or at least something like that.” but she starts questioning their relationship and her trust.

In ep. 6 she says “I can’t just abandon him…. can I?” WHY IS THAT EVEN AN OPTION FOR YOU, DUDE. She shows more affection towards Duncan than towards Mike.

Honestly. I could go on for a while but blegh I’m done ranting. ((Sorry to Zoke shippers. I respect your ship and I will admit that Zoca Zola should be your official ship name, but I just don’t ship it.))

3. Doey and Dawke

I’m going to take this opportunity to do Mike and all of his alters in this one (someone requested it but they sent it via fanmail so I don’t think it’d be public! XD), then I’ll do Duncan in the next ask b/c someone else also asked for Duncan. c:

Mike:

-What I think of them: Where do I even begin? Anyone following this blog probably knows that he is my favorite character in ALL of the TD series. I was really wary of Mike’s character at first after TD writers had handled Trent and his mental illness. Though to my surprise, I ended up just loving Mike. Whereas the writers never addressed how Trent acknowledged or worried about how others would perceive his OCD, Mike is constantly reacting to his problem in the context of trying to hide it, and acknowledging how he just wants to live normally. I suppose it’s easier to be self-aware of something like MPD, but still. In addition to how he deals with his internal struggles, he is overall a good character. I could go on, but I have his 5 alters to do, so I’m going to move on. XD

-My favorite season they were in: TDAS

-My favorite ship of them: MikexDawn ; Just think of how fantastic this would be. ;u;

-My least favorite ship of them: MikexScott ; Just no.

-What I think of them: He’s funny, but hella obnoxious. XD

-My favorite ship of them: I feel really weird shipping his personalities… especially when Chester in particular is like 70. My favorite ship for Chester is no ship. OnO

-My least favorite ship of them: Any ship with Chester.

Svetlana:

-What I think of them: She’s my favorite of all of Mike’s alters (sorry Mal; you may be hot and yummy, but Svetlana is just a better charrie). I love how she is so confident, and just in her own world. She doesn’t need anyone’s help, she’s a freaking Olympic gymnast! Eat your heart out.

-My favorite season they were in: TDROTI

-My favorite ship of them: SvetlanaxManitoba ; I still feel really weird shipping Mike’s personalities…. help.

-My least favorite ship of them: Uh…. SvetlanaxEveryoneelse?

Vito:

-What I think of them: This guy is an asshole. ._.

-My least favorite ship of them: VitoxAnnemaria ; Even in the show, Annemaria started getting fed up with Vito when he would only listen to her in exchange for sucking face.

Manitoba:

-What I think of them: Fantastic. Just, fantastic. He’s probably the most normal of Mike’s alters, though he’s charming in his own right. Plus, that accent. ouo

-My favorite season they were in: TDAS

-My favorite ship of them: ManitobaxSvetlana — Wait. In an online interview with Mike and his alters, Manitoba says he has a wife. So… ManitobaxHis Wife

-My least favorite ship of them: Everything else. It’s just so weird to ship his alters! GAH.

-My favorite quote of theirs: Any time he uses the phrase “wily dingo”.

Mal:

-What I think of them: Oh dear God. Mal is my guilty pleasure! It’s one of those things where in real life, I’d root for Mal to be locked away forever and ever. In the show, he has the effect that all hot male villains have…. So yeah, I love what he has to offer for the show, and I love the reactions he brings out in Mike. Him as a character… I don’t know. He’s the character I hate to love. XD

-My favorite season they were in: TDAS

-My favorite ship of them: My headcanon is that Mal is asexual.

-My least favorite ship of them: MalxScott

-What I think of them: In TDROTI, I couldn’t stand him. Every fiber of my being thought he was an asshole. I think what really made me despise his existence was blackmailing Mike about his mental disorder. That definitely touched a nerve for me, and I was rooting for his untimely demise….tee hee. In the new season, it’s like he’s not even the same person. He’s completely mellowed out (maybe he’s sort of laying low after what happened to him last season), which is making me tolerate his character more. I like this new development where he’s Courtney’s bitch.

-My favorite season they were in: TDAS

-My favorite ship of them: ScottxCourtney

-My least favorite ship of them: ScottxDawn ; Dawn deserves infinitely better than him.

-My favorite quote of theirs: “Maybe it’s because my pappy was in the army and my mammy was a waitress, but I really like to take orders.”

Dawn::

-What I think of them: I really love her character; I’m sad she didn’t make it far in ROTI or return for AS. She reminds me of Luna Lovegood, but I actually like her character more from what I saw from her in the series. I appreciate that she has that sort of “sixth sense” and whimsical disposition, but she’s still very grounded in reality as can be seen when she locks horns with Scott in the episode she gets eliminated.

-My favorite season they were in: TDROTI, by default.

-My favorite ship of them: DawnxB ; I personally don’t like the idea of her putting up with how much of an asshole Scott is. I feel like Dawn and B is such an underrated ship, because even though B doesn’t talk, Dawn’s ability to have an understanding of those who she knows nothing about would help them flourish in the relationship and connect on a deeper level than just talking.

-My least favorite ship of them: Dott. So sorry, but I just can’t get behind it. ._.

-My favorite quote of theirs: “Trust me, Mike likes you a lot. It’s all over his aura- the Mike parts of it, anyway.” It just kind of speaks volumes of how intuitive she is. She’s very aware of everyone’s downfalls and how they’re really feeling. So even though “Mike” just sucked face with Annemaria, she is still very aware that wasn’t Mike, and that Mike really likes Zoey.

Cody::

-What I think of them: When I first watched the series (TDI) at age 11 or so, I thought Cody was freaking adorable. I just rewatched TDI last night, and I don’t dislike him now, but my feelings about him have changed. Now I think he’s still really funny, but because I was invested in Gwent, he struck me as more annoying than anything. In TDWT, I think he was a more enjoyable character, especially with Sierra around to develop his character.

-My favorite season they were in: TDWT

-My favorite ship of them: NoahxCody ; Does this even need explaining? I hopped on that bandwagon the moment they cuddled in TDI.

-My least favorite ship of them: CodyxGwen ; Gwen sees him as a little brother— and I prefer it that way. Besides, I don’t really want his “ladies man” attitude to pay off- Gwen wouldn’t buy into that BS in a million years. XD

-My favorite quote of theirs: “Gwen is my dream girl. I’m just not her dream guy; but as long as she’s happy, hey, I’m happy!”
